Robustness, health and economy: How biochar makes a difference at Ravnshøjgaard
At Ravnshøjgaard in Stenderup, Jesper Bladt and his team have found a solution to the challenges that came with phasing out zinc in piglet production. With biochar as part of their feed strategy, they have broken the curve for both medication consumption and feed utilization – and the results are remarkable.
Read on as we take a closer look at how biochar combined with targeted feed adjustments has improved growth, lowered costs and made life on the farm easier.
Kaj Rasmussen's experience with biochar
Meet Kaj Rasmussen, a dedicated sow keeper from Mid Zealand who has worked with biochar for several years. In these two short videos, Kaj shares his experiences with biochar in weaning, with stragglers and in the farrowing house – and why he has no plans to stop.
